MCY7880 CEMI 88-10

An i8080 clone, made by Naukowo-Produkcyjne Centrum PolprzewodnikÃ³w UNITRA CEMI, Warsaw, Poland. It was designed and produced in 1980. The MCY 7880 was the only microprocessor manufactured in Poland. In the early 80s UNITRA CEMI designed clones of i8086 CPUs and i8051 microcontrollers, but these chips have never been produced.

The KP580BM80A (Kyrillic for KR580WM80A) is an i8080 clone produced in the former Soviet Union. It comes in a pretty heavy package with strange steel inserts on the back. I don't know why it had to be enforced like this...

Those CPUs were manufactured in three variants:

KP580ИК80 - DIP48 ceramic package
KP580BM80 - DIP40 ceramic package
KP580BM80A - DIP40 plastic package

KP580BM80 - plastic DIP40 (after 1986)
KP580ИK80 - old name (up to 1986)
580BM80 - cerDIP40 military
K580ИK80 - flat 44pin ceramic (the first soviet CPU military)
Letter 'A' in the end means i8080A clone, no 'A' = i8080.
